- Newsflash...yes there are "white kids" in low income areas who are falling behind. A lot of them. I should know, I teach many different ethnicities. And ya know what??? Their PARENTS and the PARENTS of a lot of the low students are to blame. The problems go WAY BEYOND the teacher.
